Peter Dahlhaus

Peter Dahlhaus is a specialist in the broad disciplines of engineering geology, environmental geology and hydrogeology.   He holds a Masters Degree from RMIT and is currently completing a PhD with the Centre for Groundwater Studies on the topic of Catchment Characterisation for salinity risk assessment in the Corangamite CMA.  In a career spanning over 25 years, Peter has worked in geotechnical consultancy, the Geological Survey of Victoria, the Melbourne and Metropolitan Board of Works, and the University of Ballarat, where he currently maintains a part-time position lecturing in hydrology, engineering geology and geomorphology.  Over the past three years Peter has been consulting to municipalities and government agencies in South West Victoria, specialising in land capability assessments and risk management of geological hazards.  Peter serves on committees with both the Corangamite CMA and the Glenelg Hopkins CMA, and the Victorian Geomorphology Reference Group.  He has recently been appointed a Research Associate with CSIRO Land and Water, working on salinity research in south west Victoria.
